Today is the day that an excuse like, “It’s Sunday,” works.

How many times do you just sit back and just unwind? Do you know how?

According to the Mayo Clinic relaxation reduces stress, which decreases negative effects on your mind and body. Relaxation techniques can help you cope with everyday stress and with stress related to various health problems, such as cancer and pain.

Practicing relaxation techniques reduces stress symptoms by:

  • Slowing your heart rate
  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Slowing your breathing rate
  • Increasing blood flow to major muscles
  • Reducing muscle tension and chronic pain
  • Improving concentration
  • Reducing anger and frustration
  • Boosting confidence to handle problems
Practice makes perfect, right? How will you relax today?  Afterall, it is Sunday. :  )

The editors assess the writer's work and give their feedback in an interactive online format.
